📍Bib pick-up and the event village are located in Äkäslompolo, near Jounin Kauppa.
🏃‍♂️Trail Tour Finland stage race (37 km) starts here.
🏁 Finish area for the 160 km, 100 km, and 37 km races.

🚌 For 66 km runners, there is a connection from the return buses from Pallas to Ylläsjärvi, at Lapland Hotels Saaga. There is no direct connection from the event finish in Äkäslompolo to Ylläsjärvi on Saturday.

🚕 Taxis from Ylläs and Kolari can be booked via the event center at 020 071 800 (24 h). You can also order a taxi using the Valopilkku smartphone app, which locates your position and notifies you when the taxi arrives. Download the Valopilkku app to your phone.

The start line of 160 km’s and 66 km’s races is located in Hetta (village) at “Enontekiön Koulukeskus”.

👉 There is a charter bus connection from Äkäslompolo’s event center to Hetta’s start area.

Reservations for these buses can be made either at the time of registration or later through the personal registration link included in your race confirmation.

⚠️ Note! The distance from Äkäslompolo to Hetta is approximately 130 km. The bus transfer takes about 2 hours, so make sure to bring drinks and a small snack to avoid using the energy reserved for your run. At Hetta, the school center restrooms are available, where you can also get water.

🏁 The finish area of the 66 km’s race is in Pallas. There is a free charter bus connection (no reservation needed) from Pallas to the Äkäslompolo’s event center. Connection to Lapland Hotels Saaga (Ylläsjärvi).

🚌The start line of 100 km’s race is located in Pallas. There is a charter bus connection from Äkäslompolo’s event center to Pallas.

🚗 Travelling to Lapland

🚌 Our partner Pohjolan Matkat provides bus transfers from Oulu and Rovaniemi to the fells, and the same route back on Sunday.

✈️ Several daily flights from Helsinki to Rovaniemi by Finnair with reasonable pricing if you book early.

Kolari

🚉 Night train from Helsinki travels to Kolari with connections by bus to Äkäslompolo, Ylläs. July train departures are now on sale.

Kittilä

✈️ During the event period, you can fly to Kittilä with Finnair. Transfers from Kittilä Airport to Ylläs are operated by Liikenne Rundgren Oy.

🏨 Accommodation

📍🏨 In Äkäslompolo, near the competition center, we recommend Lapland Hotels Äkäshotelli.

📍🏨 In Ylläsjärvi, Lapland Hotels Saaga is at your service. There are bus connections from these hotels to the starting points in Hetta and Pallas.

🚌 These hotels have bus connections to the starts in Hetta and Pallas.

🚐 There is no caravan area at Hotel Pallas in the national park. Possible parking is available 500 m south of the hotel, but it is recommended to contact the hotel reception in advance. The parking area has no water or electricity connections.

📍 In Hetta, Hetan Lomakylä near the start offers full camping and caravan facilities.

💰 For budget travelers, note that Silver Fox Hostel and 7 Fells Hostel serve guests in Äkäslompolo..

Visit Ylläs

Visit Ylläs offers lots of information about the destination and its services like accommodation possibilities, restaurants and additional activities.

Yllästunturi Visitor Centre Kellokas (close to Äkäslompolo) is the service centre of the Pallas–Yllästunturi National Park.

👉 Book your place in a bus when registering to the race or later on via the self service link provided with the registering confirmation email.

🚌We provide shuttle buses to return 66 km runners from Pallas finish line back to Äkäslompolo event centre. Separate forward connection from Jounin Kauppa in Äkäslompolo to Lapland Hotels Saaga during the night. No booking needed for these shuttle buses.

⚠️ NOTE: Transports are not available between Pallas–Hetta, Hetta–Pallas or Hetta–Äkäslompolo. Distances between these places in the middle of nowhere are almost 100 km or more. The only available means of public transport are taxis with long wait times.

FREE RETURN SHUTTLE BUS FOR 66KM RUNNERS TO ÄKÄSLOMPOLO

🚌 There’s a free return shuttle from the 66 km finish at Pallas to Äkäslompolo. Buses depart about 30 minutes after you finish or when full. Travel time is around one hour, and drop-off is at Jounin Kauppa, with forward connection to Lapland Hotels Saaga on the Ylläsjärvi side of the hill. The last night buses will wait for all finishers. Delays possible – pack snacks and dry clothes in your start returns bag. A separate connecting bus runs on Saturday between Ylläsjärvi and the event center.

⚠️ The organizer does not provide rides between: Pallas → Hetta, Hetta → Pallas, or Hetta → Äkäslompolo.
