Join the adventure and experience the renewed NUTS Ylläs Pallas presented by Garmin & La Sportiva in July 12–13! There will be four new races: 160 km, 105 km, 55 km and 37 km in Pallas–Yllästunturi National Park.
All of them will be run from north to south as opposed to previous years. The change of the direction means that the views will be unprecedented too. Convenient, right?
The best thing is that the midnight sun experience is available for everyone who is going to choose an ultra distance race. Also the classic route, 55 kilometer’s race, from Hetta to Pallas takes place in the evening too. Have a look at the endless fell landscape shaped by the latest ice age and enjoy the run under the midnight sun.
We have two new ultra distances in the choices. The only one-way 100-miler (160 kms) in Finland from Hetta to Ylläs and the 105 kilometers race from Pallas to Ylläs. All those mighty fells, arctic forests and the most beautiful trails in the country are gathered to the routes. These races will be exceptional and full Lapland experiences in for sure. Which one is your challenge?
Or are you looking for an intense fell adventure? The 37 kilometers race takes place at day time on Saturday. It’s shorter race than others but the loop takes you to the typical arctic nature of Lapland with its uphills and downhills. This race is also included to the Buff Trail Tour Finland, the most popular trail running series which is consisted of the 7 races in a season.
There will be no dry eye nor a shirt after these races!
Of course the services before, during and after the races are fantastic or should we say guaranteed NUTS quality. The main event center (inc. the race office, the bib pick up and the market area) is located in Äkäslompolo village.
Read more about the arrangements at “Event Information” on the top of the site.
Don’t leave out the games and sign up for NUTS Ylläs Pallas here.
The registration will be opened in November 20th 2018 at 6 pm (EET).
NUTS Ylläs Pallas is a member of the ITRA (International Trail-Running Association) and serves as a qualifying race for UTMB®.
Consider when register in:
There is an option to book a charter bus ticket from Äkäslompolo’s event center to the startlines in Hetta (160km and 55 km) and Pallas (105 km) – in case you don’t have a car.
It means that you can book the bus ticket in advance at the same time you register into a race.
If you weren’t sure about the bus yet, you can book it anytime afterwards via your personal registration link attached to your registration confirmation email.
The 55 kilometers’ participants get a free ride from Pallas’ finish area to Äkäslompolo’s event center.
At the both finish areas, in Äkäslompolo and Pallas, there are showers and “lunch”.
